Don’t Miss It!

Change of Pricing Plans

In other news, I'd like to update you on my changes of pricing. I have always wanted my books to be available to anyone, regardless of how much money they have and I am so aware of how many people are struggling financially particularly now.

But equally, I want to be able to continue writing full time and to be able to continue getting stories out to you all regularly.

So, with the help of a business-minded friend, I have a new plan, as follows:

My Books will be available on Pre-order for a couple of days at $2.99 and I will ALWAYS let you guys know about them first. The $2.99 price will be available for between a few days and a week before the price will go up to a regular price of $3.99.

I would love you to support me and buy my books on Pre-Order at this price if you want to and you are able to.

However, if this doesn't work for you, my books will all still be available to read for FREE on Kindle Unlimited and also I will do price drops on occasion to 99c. I will let you all on my mailing list know when this is happening so you can take advantage of the offer. Please, never feel like your support is less by buying my books at 99c. Everything helps me. Reading on Kindle Unlimited helps me.

I love you guys all so much and honestly you have helped me build 'Emily's World' into such a cool little place where I basically get to use my vivid imagination to its full potential. I am so grateful for all your support.

HOW TO BEST SUPPORT INDIE AUTHORS

I've also been asked by a few readers how they can best support me and how authors get paid for Kindle Unlimited.

So here is a quick guide to how you can best support any indie author that you love with or without Kindle Unlimited:

1/ Download and read on Kindle Unlimited if you have it (Authors get paid just under 0.5 cents per page read. It is a small amount and works out at less than we would get for a sale - But page reads to add up when a lot of people do them and EVERYTHING counts!)

2/ If you want to (and are able to) support an author further, after you have read on Kindle Unlimited you can purchase the book. Or just go ahead and purchase if you don't have KU. (Indie Authors get approx 70% of the purchase price on a book priced $2.99 or above and approx 30% of the purchase price on a book priced at less than $2.99) So you can see the difference it will be to someone like me to make sales at $2.99 instead of 99c.

3/If you really love a book and are feeling generous, order paperbacks either for yourself or as gifts for friends (What authors make on a paperback varies a bit due to printing costs and Amazon's cut but it is always worth doing if you want to. It usually works out at comparable or sometimes a bit more than an author makes on an ebook sale )

4/ If you have time and get chance review the book on amazon or share the book on your social media or send a personal recommendation and link to the book to any friends you think would enjoy them.

I hope this helps explain things! All support in any format is so gratefully received!

So, good news for this week, my Dad got a Covid Vaccine. He is in his late 70s and increasingly fragile in recent years so it is a relief to him (and to me) that he has the vaccine. I'm hoping that in coming months it will enable me to spend more time with him and not fear that I am putting him at risk. (If lockdown restrictions ever ease up.)

My Dad is a kind and very fair man who I have always had huge respect for and I know I am lucky to have a Dad like this, that a lot of people don't have. He has all these stories he likes to tell about the past which we have all heard like a million times before but we laugh at them anyway.

I hope you are all well and keeping warm. It is absolutely freezing here! It has been snowing too but it never settles which is frustrating the hell out of me. I LOVE snow and I just want it to snow properly so I can go out and play in it!

Lots of love, Emily x
